Kate is an emerging contemporary artist, who creates shell artworks inspired by the coast, marine life and the natural forms found along Australia’s southern shoreline.

Kate collects native Australian molluscs and bivalves from the Victorian coastline under a permit issued by the Victorian Fisheries Authority. Each shell is carefully selected before being meticulously prepared for use in her work.

Every piece is composed by hand in her studio on Millowl (Phillip Island), using natural materials arranged in repeated forms, circles and patterns that highlight the subtle variations in colour, texture and shape found in each species.

Designed as original works of contemporary fine art, each piece transforms small and familiar elements of the shoreline into something refined, tactile and distinctly Australian. Kate’s work became commercially available in September 2026.
